VILLAGE  ELECTRIFICATION  THROUGH WIND-SOLAR  HYBRID  IN  REMOTE AREAS  OF  MANIPUR. 

  • MANIREDA, so far have implemented 14 nos. of wind solar hybrid systems in remote villages in Manipur.
  • As per information furnished by the villagers MANIREDA identified the sites by assessing using 10m and 25m wind monitoring mast.
  • A Village Energy Committee (VEC) is formed after the selection of sites.
  • In co-ordination with VEC, Wind Solar hybrid of 10 kW capacity each is installed.
  • 3 Nos. of 15 Watt CFL bulbs are provided in each houses.

  • 4 nos. of 10 kW wind-solar hybrid power projects during 2007-08.
  • 7 nos. of 10 kW wind-solar hybrid power projects during 2008-09..
